Saint Louis University offers an online winter session from Dec. 19 to Jan. 13.
The session includes nine classes from a variety of disciplines and topics.

- SOC 1120: Introduction to Sociology: Diversity and Health

- HSI 2200: Medical Terminology
School for Professional Studies offerings:
- ARTH 1005: Approaching the Arts
- CMMK 1210: Public Speaking in Org. Life
- PHIL 2055: Ethics
All classes are offered exclusively online. Students may take only one course during the winter session. Each class is three credit hours.
No incoming, first time freshmen or Madrid students are permitted to take classes through the winter session. A winter session course cannot be your first class at Saint Louis University.

Participating in our optional winter session allows undergraduate students both online and on our physical campus to take courses required to complete their degree in a flexible way that fits into their schedule.
The winter session will be offered entirely online.
The winter session is open to current undergraduate students in good academic standing at Saint Louis University, including Visiting Students and students enrolled in the School for Professional Studies. No incoming, first time freshmen or Madrid students are permitted to take classes through the winter session. A winter session course cannot be your first class at Saint Louis University.
Traditional undergraduate students wanting to take a winter course in the School for Professional Studies (please see course listings above) must receive approval from their college or school. In conjunction with your academic adviser, submit the Petition to Enroll in SPS Course by non-SPS Student to begin the approval process.
Please note: Tuition reduction for School for Professional Studies partnership students does not apply to the winter session.

Registration and Class Information
Registration will be open for the winter session via Banner Self-Service. The registration period for the winter session opens Nov. 6, 2018, and closes at noon on Dec. 10, 2018. Students may take only one course during the winter session. Each class offered in the winter session is three credit hours.
If you are a traditional undergraduate student at SLU registering for a course in the School for Professional Studies and need assistance, please contact the School for Professional Studies at 314-977-2330 or email@example.com and an SPS adviser will assist you.
The registration period for the winter session opens Nov. 6, 2018, and closes at noon on Dec. 10, 2018.
Students can acquire textbooks at the Saint Louis University Bookstore located in the Busch Student Center on campus. To purchase textbooks online or for store hours during the winter session, please visit their website.
Consult the class syllabus for specifics on all class information, including assignments and examinations. There will be no class or assignments due on Dec. 24, 25, or Jan. 1.
Tuition and Fees
Winter session tuition is $770 per credit hour. There are no additional fees.

For financial aid purposes, the winter session counts as part of the spring term. The hours will be added to your spring hours to determine aid payment eligibility.
The tuition refund schedule for winter session is as follows:
- Dec. 26, 2018: 100 percent refund
- Dec. 27, 2018, to Jan. 2, 2019: 60 percent refund
- Jan. 3, 2019: No refund/Last day to drop
Students have access to certain campus facilities during the winter session. Below are the special hours for each building.
Winter Recess Hours
Pius Library will be closed Dec. 22, 2018 through Jan. 1, 2019. It will otherwise observe the following hours during SLU's winter recess:
- Sunday: Closed
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Simon Recreation Center will be closed Dec. 24, 2018, through Jan. 1, 2019. It will otherwise observe the following hours:
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to midnight
- Monday through Thursday: 6 a.m. to midnight
- Friday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
