Saint Louis University offers Simon Recreation Center members tools and resources to improve their health and fitness. Sign up for fitness classes, including Zumba and spinning, or meet with a personal trainer to focus on your individual goals. Learn how to eat healthy on and around campus, and sample food at live cooking demonstrations. If you’re interested in improving your fitness and wellness, campus recreation has a program that can help.
Simon Recreation Center members can register for individual classes or purchase an all-inclusive fitness package.

SLU students have the opportunity to become familiar with the multiple fitness center spaces on campus through complimentary fitness center orientations. Students can check in with the fitness coordinator or the fitness center attendant on duty and request an orientation. Wellness suite attendants and building supervisors are also trained and available to provide fitness center orientations.
The wellness suite, located on the lower level of the Simon Recreation Center, is open to all fitness center members. We offer fitness center orientation, techniques for managing stress, flexibility assessment and instruction, nutrition education, blood pressure screenings and body composition analysis.
Student Health 101 is an online health, wellness and academic success publication for students and their parents. It is published on more than 200 campuses across the country and presents engaging, interactive content.
SLU celebrates Healthy Campus Week in September. It includes a week full of activities that promote physical activity, healthy eating, stress management and overall wellness. This year’s events are scheduled for the week of Sept. 19-23, 2016 and will be highlighted on social media with the hashtag #HealthyCampus.
The goal of this program is to accumulate "Ironman" distances over a five-week period. This includes:
Participants accumulate mileage on their own and self-report their totals each week. All participants who actively engage in the program will earn an IRON-SLU shirt and are eligible for raffle prizes.

Walk to Madrid is a virtual walking program to promote an active lifestyle for Saint Louis University faculty, staff and students that runs for eight weeks every summer. Teams of eight track their steps with pedometers to see who can walk the farthest.
