Have you heard the term cura personalis? It’s not just another old Latin phrase here at SLU; it’s an expression that forms the core of how we nurture spiritual life in our community.

The words translate to "care for the entire person” and that idea guides the Department of Campus Ministry at Saint Louis University.

Visit us at the Eckelkamp Center for Campus Ministry on West Pine Mall, just west of the clock tower, to learn more about growing your faith, supporting social justice and integrating spirituality into your everyday life. Guided by the Catholic Church and the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits, SLU campus ministry welcomes and serves students of all religious backgrounds and traditions.

SLU's campus ministers provide individualized attention to your needs, respect your challenges and bring a thoughtful appreciation for everyone’s experiences and beliefs.

Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

Do YOU want to experience and learn more about how faith and solidarity intersect? YOU should consider applying to be one of SLU's student delegates to attend the 2019 Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice! The Teach-In is a packed weekend of faith and social advocacy at the largest annual US Catholic social justice conference. Nov. 16-18 in Washington DC. Emmaus-CLC

Praying with the tools of Ignatian Spirituality, Emmaus-Christian Life Communities (CLC) are small groups that meet weekly for an hour to seek and understand God’s activity in their lives. Registration will close on September 10, 2019. Contact clc@slu.edu for more information.

Liturgical Minister Training

 Students are invited to serve the SLU worshiping community as Ministers of Hospitality, Servers, Lectors, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Trained student ministers participate in the Sunday 4:30 and 9:00 p.m. Masses in College Church, as well as in the Residence Hall masses.

Training for new liturgical ministers will take place on Saturday, September 14th at 9am beginning with prayer in the Eckelkamp Center for Campus Ministry. Training sessions will follow. 2019 Medical School Retreat

Registration is open now for the 2019 Medical School Retreat, which is open to all medical students. The retreat will be held September 7-8 at Manresa Retreat Center. Contact Erin Schmidt at erin.schmidt@slu.edu for more information.
