Publications and Media Placements

Rutschman has published and presented widely on topics related to emerging biotechnologies, biobanking, artificial intelligence, and e-health.

Her writing has appeared in the UCLA Law Review, Duke Law and Technology Review, Yale Law Journal Forum and Miami Business Law Review, among others. Her commentary pieces have been published by The Huffington Post and The Conversation and reprinted in Scientific American, Newsweek Japan and newspapers around the U.S., including the Chicago Tribune and San Francisco Chronicle.

Honors and Awards

Professor Rutschman was named a Health Law Scholar by the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics in 2018, and a Bio IP Scholar in 2017 by the same institution.

Professional Organizations and Associations

In 2015-16, Rutschman consulted for the World Health Organization on the development of the Ebola and Zika vaccines.

Community Work and Service

Rutschman joined the SLU LAW faculty in 2018. She teaches and writes in the areas of health law, intellectual property, innovation in the life sciences, and law and technology.
