Description: This project began as a community service activity for the Society of Physic Students, tutoring physics in Gateway STEM High School. As a result of this connection Physics Teacher and Chair of the Gateway Science Department Merita Haxhia decided to enroll in our new Nanomaterials and Condensed Matter Physics track of the Integrated and Applied Sciences PhD program. Ms. Haxhia plans to involve 1 or 2 students in her research.
